Lives up to its name — a very shallow, razor-sharp reef break that only experienced surfers should attempt. On big SW swells it produces an intense, short barrel. Named for the reef injuries it regularly inflicts.

Thick wetsuit bottoms or board shorts are not enough — wear serious protection. Only paddle out if you are 100% committed. The channel is your friend. Respect this wave.
Hazards & safety
Extremely shallow reef — the most dangerous wave in the Nusa Islands. Reef booties, boardshorts, and rash vest are minimum protection. Wipeouts can result in serious lacerations. Very remote — emergency evacuation from the island requires time and planning. Surf travel insurance essential.
