Local tips for surfing Medewi
Best at mid-to-high tide. Longboards preferred. The wave is very forgiving on the inside — beginners can surf the end section while experienced surfers work the outside. 3-hour drive from Kuta but worth it.
Hazards & safety
Rocky point entry — reef booties essential. Bigger sets can be powerful. Watch for fishing boats in the channel. Drive from south Bali is long — ensure your vehicle is reliable.
